On April 8, 2022, Dr. Council was honored with a State of New York Legislative Resolution for her outstanding work in her community by Childcare and Nutrition at PAL. Senator Roxanne Persaud from District 19 New York presented the award and the citation was read and presented by Sandy Miller, Constituent Liaison in the office of Senator Persaud.
Dr. Council is no stranger to proclamations as in 2008 she was awarded a Congressional Record for outstanding and exemplary contribution to children and families in their pursuit of educational opportunities and advancement.
In March of 2022, Dr. Dawn White graduated with her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction after completing her degree in December! She began working at PAL as an Education Director on a study plan in 2007. While at PAL, she completed her Master's Degree, a dual certification in General Education and Special Education.
