More than 100 years later, their mission has not changed.

PAL offers several programs to help kids stay on track, learn, and grow.

KINGSBRIDGE - The NYPD's Police Athletic League hosted a day dedicated to sports and kids Friday.

Around 300 kids from all five boroughs participated in the annual 'PAL Sports Day' event at Van Cortlandt Park.

The New York Jets sponsored a PAL Cops and Kids program in conjunction with the NYPD.

The goal of the event at Fordham University was to increase positive relations between police and the community, with a specific focus on youth.
